Qiang Fitzgeraldprovides strategic consulting to local universities on designing and executing programs on professional and career development for international students. Qiang also runs coaching seminars on job search strategies and career development for college graduates and young professionals. She draws her expertise from over 20 years’ management experience in China and in the US, within industries ranging from retail to finance to higher education. Before starting her consulting firm, Qiang held management positions in business development, IT project management, marketing, and eCommerce at global firms such as HSBC. Qiang is also an adjunct faculty on business communications and career development at DePaul University, Loyola University Chicago, and Illinois Institute of Technology. She volunteers for Upwardly Global, an organization that helps skilled immigrants rebuild their professional careers in the U.S.
Graciela Kenig, is a communications professional with extensive experience in journalism, media and public relations, public speaking, training and teaching. Her experience ranges from non-profits to corporate settings, and includes varied industries such as retail, manufacturing, banking and finance, consulting, government, arts and culture, and higher education. Prior to joining DePaul in 2009, Graciela was a career columnist and management consultant, offering career advice, training and coaching to college students, corporate employees and their supervisors. Her book,Best Careers for Bilingual Latinos: Market Your Fluency in Spanish to Get Ahead on the Job(1998, McGraw-Hill) pioneered the concept of cultural differences in career development. She managed a Q&A board for Monster.com and her articles appeared in the Chicago Tribune and Sun-Times, and in a variety of magazines. She also was a blogger and Multicultural Management Expert for LatPro, one of the largest minority recruitment job boards on the Internet. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she is Spanish/English bilingual and has traveled extensively to Europe, the Middle East, Latin and Central America, along with several Caribbean and Pacific islands.
Jerry Donahuehas had a long and successful career in higher education career services. He has been a director of career services offices at Indiana University Northwest, Canisius College, Moraine Valley Community College, and St. Norbert College. He has used his technical background working with engineering and computer science students at the State University of New York at Buffalo and the University of Michigan - College of Engineering. Jerry's involvement in professional associations has included leadership roles in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in their Northwest Indiana and Green Bay, WI chapters. He has been co-author of a National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE), formerly CPC, monograph on “Small Employers Connection to College Career Centers.” In addition, he has been in leadership roles with the Midwest Association of Colleges & Employers (MWACE) including co-chairing both an annual conference and a Trends in Recruiting Conference. He currently serves on the MWACE Executive Board focusing on professional development.
