This webinar will discuss the significance of the competencies to employers, students, and higher education; how employers and career centers can contribute to developing the competencies; and how to best gauge the competencies, among other competency considerations.

 

Speaker: Glen Fowler 

 

Speaker Bio: 

Glen Fowler recently retired from the California State Auditor’s Office where he was the Recruiting and Training Manager for the past 19 years.  As the Recruiting Manager, Glen’s responsibilities included developing and implementing a recruiting strategy and hiring new employees.  As the Training Manager, Glen’s responsibilities included developing and implementing a Training Plan, and overseeing the office’s Mentoring program. 

 

Glen served as the 2017-18 President on the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Board, and he served as the 2009-10 President on the MPACE Board. In addition, Glen served on the National State Auditors Association’s (NSAA) Training and Human Resources Committees. 

 

Glen received his Bachelors Degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1986, and his Masters Degree from the California State University, Sacramento, in 1989.
