MPACE in collaboration with the University of Arizona is excited to present: Best Practices for Quality Internship Programs. This event brings together an experienced group of employers who have very strong internship programs. These organizations have invested a great deal of time and energy into growing and developing their internship programs over the years and are willing to share their successes and set-backs with other local employers/organizations who have an interest in starting or strengthening their own internal program. This program will cover these four topics related to the full life-cycle of a quality internship:

1. What is an Internship, Why an Internship Program?

2. Marketing, Outreach and Recruiting.

3. The Internship Itself, Onboarding, Orientation and Playbook.

4. Intern to Full-time Conversion, Evaluations and Return on Investment.

The event will include a networking lunch with Internship Council Members from the University of Arizona from Noon – 1:30pm. These are Internship Coordinators that work in the various academic departments on-campus, assisting students with their academic internship experiences.  This will be a great opportunity to bring together our employer and academic communities on the topic of internships. As the event approaches, more information will be sent to registrants regarding parking and further details.

Cost: FREE for members and non members (attendees will have to pay for parking on campus)
