Dear MPACE Community:
As you know, last week the Federal Government announced new restrictions on the Foreign Student Program. We are absolutely thrilled that those restrictions have now been rescinded.
The MPACE leadership applauds our peer institutions, including but not limited to Harvard, MIT, Stanford, USC, the University of California, and the State of California, in filing lawsuits to prohibit enforcement of the rules, which put pressure on the Trump Administration to reverse its ruling.
MPACE stands for maintaining an inclusive atmosphere focused on diversity, advocating for professional standards and ethics, and serving as thought leaders in change management. To this end, we are committed to providing education and resources to support our members as they navigate these laws. If there is anything MPACE can do to support you regarding these issues or if you are interested in joining the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee to build community as it relates to international students, please contact our Director of DEI, Sophia Gaither.
Additionally, here are some resources that may be helpful to you:
This is certainly a unique and challenging time in our lives both professionally and personally. MPACE hears you and stands with you.
